Women’s outdoor fitness

This class is designed for women of any age and fitness ability in order to get out in the fresh air and have fun while getting toned, fit and strong, and benefitting both cardiovascular and bone health.

There are many benefits of exercising outdoors and these have been reported to include improved mood and reduced depression with an increase in self-esteem.  Exposure to sunlight enhances vitamin D production which is said to contribute to the mood enhancing effect.

Your cardiovascular fitness will improve with the use of various pieces of equipment, such as the agility ladder, pads/gloves, kettlebells, battle rope, resistance bands, and of course just your arms and legs.

Strength and tone will improve specifically with the use of body weight, free weights and kettlebells but also with the equipment already mentioned.  This will have a positive effect on your bone health which is an important consideration for any woman over the age of 35, as this is when bone density begins to decrease in all of us on a yearly basis. 

You will tone up and lose the inches if you need to with all of the above benefits whilst also building up core strength and just from being upright and active.

Most importantly, you will be in a group with myself and likeminded women who will provide you with support and positive encouragement to keep going in order for you to achieve your health and fitness goals.
