I have an anterior prolapse. I have seen really good improvements and now feel confident in walking up hills and feel less of a drag and a presence of the prolapse after I have been for a long walk. I felt I was giving myself a bit of care and priority. Joan was a great teacher and gave us lots of tasty nutritional treats which I have made and am now snacking on rather than cakes and biscuits! I think lots of women accept that it doesn't feel 'right' down there because they have had a baby and therefore accept it and get on with it. This course demonstrates that improvements can be made. I initially quallified as a physiotherapist in 1993 from Glasgow Caledonian University and then specialised into the musculoskeletal field working wiithin the NHS and privately. I also completed a Masters degree from Coventry University in Manual Therapy in 2006.
In 2012 I branched out into the fitness world and gained the Level 2 certificate in Fitness Instructing CYQ with the YMCA and with further postnatal fitness training through Buggyfit I was then able to run Buggyfit classes in and around Cheltenham.
Since then I have completed further physiotherapy training to teach the Ante and Postnatal Fit Back and Bumps classes and continue to be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Further training that I have completed includes Postnatal Exercise, Pregnancy and Post natal Massage, The Burrell Method for Holistic Diastasis Healing and two women's health summits all through Burrell Education. I am also a liscensed FooFooFunClub Ambassador and Women in the 3rd Age Instructor, both through Burrell Education and a qualified Kettlebell instructor through KBT training.
I have plenty of personal experience in the postnatal period with my two girls now aged 6 and 8.
